The Wall Raising

Well, here I am, finally posting the photos from the Wall Raising that happened over a week ago now. (man, I’m behind on my blogging) Anyway, on with the story, a week ago Sunday, I was able to photograph a wall raising for Habitat for Humanity in Central Point. Habitat is building a house for a family of soon to be nine. It was fun to be a part of the day as the family watched the first wall of their new home go up. Here are a few of the photos.

Raising the wall.

Hammering down the first nails.

The whole family.

I love these pictures. They look so good in black and white. Such a cute family. I especially love the one of the parents both looking off to the right. They look so happy.

Heather

Heather and I headed out to Ashland on Friday to shoot her senior portraits. We had a great time as we ran (literally) after the light. Rain clouds were steadily moving in the whole shoot, but as you can see, we still got some sun. We were a bit shocked when after a long stretch of sun, large rain drops threatened to end our shoot early, but we were able to hold out and still went to our last location and simply shot in the rain. It was quite fun. Those of you with shoots are coming up, be warned that at times of great light sometimes we have to make a run for it. Enjoy!

Oh my word! You are amazing! May I just say that those photos are Gorgeous. And your model was incredibly beautiful! I’m sitting here looking at these pictures with my mouth agape marveling at the fact that My Sister took those photographs. I am fairly bursting with pride.

One beautiful young woman! Exceptionally well photographed. Oh my goodness! Of course, I would think my granddaughter is exceptional. But then, SHE IS! And you do have a God given talent.
    Thank you Katelyn!
