I recently had the opportunity to photograph Misty & Dave’s wedding. I am so thankful for this amazing couple, who trusted me to capture such an special day in their lives. I have photographed many weddings as a second-shooter over the last two years, but this was my first wedding on my own. I am so happy with how the photos turned out, which, consequently, made it incredibly difficult for me to narrow down which photos to post because, quite frankly, I just want to share them all! So, I’ve decided to do two posts of their wedding so I can show you more photos.
Misty & Dave were the perfect first couple. Misty was so calm the whole day and completely trusted me with the photography which freed me up to do what I do best. This couple is so in love with each other, as you will see, and could not stop smiling when they looked at each other. They both have such a huge heart for the Lord and each other and they had an amazing group of people surrounding them as they began their lifelong journey of marriage. The wedding party was definitely one of the most fun I have ever photographed. They were full of fun, quirky ideas of things to do, so I have piles of hilarious wedding party photos, but you’ll have to wait to see those ’til tomorrow.
Thank you so much, Dave and Misty, for choosing me and trusting me to photograph this day in your lives. It was an honor and I pray that your love for each other and the Lord continues to grow stronger and stronger as you journey through life together. Enjoy your photos!
To begin with: Misty’s shoes.
Her beautiful dress.
I loved her bouquet.
I just love this shot and the next of beginning the process of styling her hair.
There was so much laughter and fun while all the girls got ready.
Love this one!
I love this one of Maria, maid of honor, when she saw Misty all ready and in her dress. So cute.
Final touches.
Misty’s dog took up residence on her dress.
Misty and Dave decided to see each other before the wedding and do all the photos before hand. I love it when couples choose this because one, it makes for great photos, but two, they get time alone before the craziness of the day hits. And once the photos are done, they don’t have to worry about me for the rest of the day and can go and enjoy their ceremony, reception, and guests without worrying about time for photos.
So here is the first look. Love these photos!
Then we went off to do some photos of the two of them.
One happy couple.
They tried to convince me that they were not photogenic. Um, please! I just proved you wrong, so there! :)
Love this one.
Love this one too. Oh, let’s just face it, I love them all!
The rain was threatening to make an appearance, but only acted on it’s threat for a few minutes.
They were just so happy together. Love it.
So beautiful.
Check back tomorrow for the rest! You won’t want to miss them…
