The Long’s | Family

Before I left for Nashville, I had the pleasure of photographing the Long family. I’ve known the Long’s since I was little, but haven’t seen the whole family for probably about five years. So, needless to say, Abby and Aiden–and myself–have grown a lot since then. Abby just graduated from high school so Lori wanted some family photos while the extended family was still in town. It was so fun to see this wonderful family again and catch up! They were so fun to photograph and they kept each other laughing the whole time. Thanks so much for having me photograph your family!

Here are some of my favorites from the shoot:

What a great photo shoot! I love them all but especially the one of Phil and Lori looking at the camera. You captured their love for one another and the family photo where they are sitting in the street – love it. I need to book you to photograph our family.

Nashville | A Quick Update II

Another little update. I’m having a marvelous time and taking tons of photos…I just haven’t been taking the time to post all the photos. But, I will be blogging about my time here in Nashville once I get home and I’m sure that it will take quite a few posts to post about my whole trip, so I’ll be making up for my blogging absence once I get back to Oregon! For now, here’s a photo I took of myself in Sarah’s glasses when we were shooting up on a bridge.

Oh, and you’ve probably noticed the appearance of my blog is changing. We’ve been working on branding and mine isn’t quite finished yet, but don’t worry, my blog won’t be looking like this for too much longer. ;) Have a lovely day!

Nashville | A Quick Update

Just a quick little update. I fly into Nashville last night for a photography internship with Sarah Barlow and four other girls. I don’t know how much I’ll be posting while I’m here, but I’ll be sure to post about the trip when I get back. I’ll be responding to emails and phone calls when I get in the office on June 29th. And so for now, the amazing view from Sarah’s apartment where we are all staying.

A Wedding | Misty & Dave (Part II)

As promised, Part 2 of Misty and Dave’s wedding.

To begin with, the girls:

Love this one.

Dave and his guys (and dog).

md-5-copy1

md-6-copy1

As I said yesterday, this group was up for anything and brought along a few fun ideas of their own, so here are some of the fun shots.

md-7-copy1

One of their ideas was to have a tug-a-war match…

md-8-copy1

md-9-copy1

This one cracks me up!

md-10-copy1

…and of course the 4 girls beat the 7 guys. :)

md-11-copy1

Caught this one of Misty fixing her hair. I think it’s quite cute.

md-12-copy1

Another one that makes me laugh.

md-13-copy1

They also wanted some with umbrellas as it was supposed to rain that day, but of course, once we got to the umbrellas the sun decided to poke out. But I think they still turned out great.

md-14-copy1

The Mary Poppins.

md-15-copy1

md-16-copy1

Then we headed off to the Ramada for the ceremony and reception.

md-17-copy1

md-18-copy1

Dave’s cake-toppers.

md-20-copy1

md-19-copy1

The guys waiting for the ceremony to start.

md-21-copy1

The flower girl. There’s a story behind this one. She came down the isle very slowly and was sure to stop after each step to put some pedals on the ground. Maria, the maid of honor, came down the isle to speed things up a bit, but once the flower girl reached the front of the isle where I was, she stopped, looked up, turned around, and bolted back down the isle to her mom with a quick stop in the middle to drop the basket. So this is the moment when she stopped and looked up and decided she had gone far enough. So cute.

md-22-copy1

md-23-copy1

I turned around to grab a shot of Dave’s expression when he saw Misty coming down the isle and this is what I saw.

md-24-copy1

Love this one.

md-25-copy1

md-26-copy1

md-27-copy1

Man and wife.

md-28-copy1

Love this one of them laughing at the reception.

md-29-copy1

The flower girl was hilarious. Every time she saw the camera aimed at her she had a new expression for me.

Father, daughter dance.

md-33-copy1

Mother, son dance.

md-34-copy1

First dance.
