A few weeks ago, I showed up at the Sherbourne’s home to photograph them. It was a gorgeous, sunny afternoon, without a cloud in the sky. I had so much fun. I chased Zach and Isabella around for about an hour or so with my camera. I had a blast! It reminded me so much of when I was little. Scott threw them in the air and made silly faces with Isabella. Christin spun Isabella around and had light-saber battles with Zach using pea pods. I witnessed quite the dramatic death when Christin caught Zach and he collapsed to the ground, but thankfully came back to life within a few minutes.
It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon and I left the shoot smiling all the way home because I love being around families that love each other so much and who have such a good time together. The post-processing was quite fun too because the photos never failed to make me laugh or smile. I love my job! I get to run around for hours capturing love and laughter and people interacting and being themselves. I love capturing those moments in life that fly by all too fast and preserving them so that they can be looked back upon and fondly remembered.
So, thank you so much, Scott and Christin, for letting me come and photograph your family. You have such a wonderful family and Zach and Isabella are just too adorable. It was great fun and I hope you enjoy the photos!

these are amazing.
they are such a sweet family.
they went to bear creek with us for a while so i totally recognized them
you are amazing
Oh, these are great! I love the ones of the kids tossed up in the air. So fun! Beautiful family.
“Wow” does not do these shots justice. Nor does “awesome”, “incredible”, or “[fill in the blank]”. I will say… WELL DONE! You have definitely matured into an artist that can capture your subjects in ways that make the shots capture and captivate the viewer’s eye.

These are great photos!
Last week, I got to photograph my mom! She usually never wants to be in front of the camera, but she is being featured in the Women’s Ministry newsletter at my church and they needed a picture of her. So, I, of course, volunteered my services and was thrilled to be able to get her in front of the camera. Isn’t she gorgeous? I think so. I mean look at her stunning blue eyes. Beautiful! We had a blast. We went out to a new place where I’ve been wanting to do a shoot for awhile because it has the most gorgeous light in the evening and there are rail road cars right across the field. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I got a whole pile of photos that captured her different “looks”. I was so glad because we have no updated photos of her :-)
So, Mom, thank you being a wonderful model! I love you so much and I am so blessed to have to you for a mom. You are always giving of yourself and your time for us. Thank you for always being so supportive of me and for continually teaching me new things and challenging me to break out of the box. I love you!
I love this one. She looks so serene.
Look at those blue eyes. Gorgeous!
One of those “looks”.
I must say I’m a little jealous. Over the last few years, my mom has mastered the art of walking in heals, but I’m still very challenged in this area. :-)
Our attempt at an action shot.
Oh, so, so gorgeous! Mom, you are beautiful! Katie, thank you so much for the pictures; I miss seeing you all every day.

Katelyn these are beautiful shots! :)
Katie,
As you know, I do not like getting my picture taken but I must say I’ve never had so much fun. I know I was a hard case but you were amazing as you kept working with me to relax and just have fun. I would never have thought of the places you had me sit, stand, lean etc. you amaze me with the gift God has given you. Thanks again for being so patient and capturing the beauty you see in me. I love you lots and am excited to see God’s plans for your life unfold before you very eyes. Love, Mom
Katie~
You captured your Mom so beautifully. Again, you are a very talented young woman. You were able to catch the very essience of your Mom, and reveal her spirit on camera. Amazing!
I had so much fun with Kimberly last weekend shooting her senior pictures. Earlier in the day a few rain clouds made their threatening presence known, but by 4:00 the rain was gone. We went all over Jacksonville with a fabulous suitcase I had found early that day, which made for a fun prop. I must admit I didn’t know how Kimberly would be in front of the camera at first, but any doubts I had were instantly blown away after the first picture! She is a great model! You have to check out her “model” face in the pictures. Gorgeous! So, thank you, Kim, for being such an amazing model and for being up for anything! I had a great time and I love how the pictures turned out.
I love this look!
One of my favorites! Doesn’t she have a great “model” face.
So cute.
She always has the funnest finger nail polish.
Love this shot.
Kim insisted on a shot with the stop sign and I’m quite glad she did. They turned out great!
By the end we decided to see just how bizarre and dramatic we could be. So much fun :-)
And another favorite!
I LOVE these! Oh my gosh, they are amazing! Kimberly, you should be a model. No doubt about it. So gorgeous! Wow, I loved the stop sign pictures, and the plaid shoes, and the overly dramatic shot with the chair. So much fun.
Oh my goodness! Katelyn, you are an amazing photographer! I love how these pics turned out! I’m so excited! I can’t stop using exclamation points. And Brittany, thanks for the compliments! Thanks again Katelyn!
I like the Senior pictures you took! They are beautiful. I didn’t like how mine turned out =[ So I used the one you took of me for my Senior pic. lol I can’t wait to see how the maternity pictures are going to turn out. I think it will be a fun shoot, even though I am far from photogenic. lol. You are so talented!! I think you will go far.
Jessie
Thanks!
and Jessie, it’s not about being “photogenic” it’s about me getting you to relax and be yourself in front the camera :-) You’ll be great!
