I was honored to be there to document the morning. One of the simplest, yet sweetest weddings I’ve been to. The elopement went right to the heart of marriage–man and wife vowing to remain by each other’s side no matter what may befall them ‘til death do them part. Thanks to Kenny, her brother, for the photo of Kimberly and I.

Happy One Month Anniversary Mitchell & Kimberly!

Katelyn, these are absolutely amazing. I have no words to describe how thankful I am that you took these for us. I’m just sitting here crying as I admire them :) Thanks again for everything! Love you

Time

This frame was an accidental, partial double exposure at the end of a roll. I don’t even remember taking the second image and think I may have accidentally pressed the shutter while trying to figure out how to rewind the roll as it was my first time using this old camera again in a number of years. And while technically the partially overlapping frames ruined the individual shots, there’s something I rather like about the clock keeping time and the bustling street scene whirling by above it. As one frame was shot vertical and the other horizontal, they both lend a different perspective and I can’t quite decide which way I prefer…what do you think?

Canon EOS 3; EF 50mm f/1.2L; Portra 400Canon EOS 3; EF 50mm f/1.2L; Portra 400I first heard of SALTS through Cayla, my past roommate who now works for them, and the summer before last my sister went on a sailing trip with them. So, Cayla and I ferried over to the island and road-tripped across to pick my sister up in Ucluelet. We camped a couple nights and explored and were met with a wonderful rain and thunder storm. Photos of me thanks to my sister and Cayla.
